Kopi av Turid Skåden is the winner of Statsbygg`s Student Award 2018

27. March 2019 Statsbygg handed out their Student Award 2018 at BAS to the winner. This year, Statsbygg decided to give the prize to Turid Skåden for her project " "Ghost - Investigating industrial ghosts, their spatial impact on the surroundings and potential productive future"

Representative from Statsbygg's Western Region Bente Mathiesen gave the check of NOK 20.000,- to the winner. "Statsbygg wishes to encourage innovative and experimental studies of architecture among future generations of architects. The Student Award will be handed out to one or more student projects at the master level for particularly innovative and well executed project work performed in accordance with state guidelines within the field of architecture. In the evaluation, emphasis is placed on clarity in quality and form, in terms of identity, practical usefulness and aesthetic value".

The three projects that were competing for the award were: 

Karla Lesley Kjellsdotter Jaeger: "THE REST IS NOISE Enlightening Nygård through Movement And sound"

Turid Skåden: "Ghost - Investigating industrial ghosts, their spatial impact on the surroundings and potential productive future"

Victoria Helene Storemyr: "we have moved -a way of seeing the city, finding stories through the landscape of former places in the inner city of (the small coastal town) Arendal"

The winner did a presentation of her projects for the audience, in addition she met with this years diploma candidates to share her experience on the process of diploma work.
