19.March - Marina Rosenfeld - Free Exercise -

Free Exercise‘ is a new work from the American composer and audio artist Marina Rosenfeld, commissioned by the Borealis 2014 Festival and composed for the Norwegian naval band Sjøforsvarets Musikkorps (SFMK) with the soloists Karin Hellqvist (violin) and Heloisa Amaral (piano)....
Rosenfeld’s work also incorporates an architectural intervention, developed in collaboration with the Bergen School of Architecture, in the form of two porous, freestanding walls, fabricated out of mushrooms, which act as subtle physical and visual mutes within the orchestra.
